event victory in last Friday night’s 19th Annual

on the California Lightning Sprint Car season this
Friday, November 7th, at the middle night of the 19th
Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals Presented by All Coast
Construction at Perris Auto Speedway. At the final
race, the two most important awards in the club, the
overall championship and the Rookie of the Year, will
be decided. Spectator gates will open at 4:00 PM with
racing at 6:45. The USAC National & CRA Sprint Cars

CALIFORNIA LIGHTNING SPRINT CARS “BEACH PARTY” AT

2014) Three-time BCRA
champion Doug Nunes journeyed south from his
Kingsburg, California home and won the California
Lightning Sprint Car Series “Party at The Beach” main
event last Saturday at the Ventura Raceway. While
Nunes’ was busy winning his first CLS main of the 2014
campaign, Bobby Michnowicz became the third different
point leader in the last three CLS races and will be
the driver to beat heading into the season finale at
Perris Auto Speedway on November 7th...more.
SPRINTS CARS “BEACH PARTY” AT VENTURA RACEWAY THIS
CA, October 16, 2014) The next to last
race on the 2014 schedule for the California Lightning
Sprint Car Series will be the “Beach Party” featuring
the CLS against the top stars from BCRA this Saturday
night at Jim Naylor’s Ventura Raceway. The race will
go a long way in deciding who will be the CLS champ in
2014. San Diego’s Damon Arnett has a 9-point lead over
2012 Champion Bobby Michnowicz and he is 12-points in
front of Jeff Dyer. Spectator gates will open at 3:00
PM with racing at 5:30. Joining the CLS on the program
will be the VRA Sprint Cars, Dwarf Cars, Sport

BAKERSFIELD MAIN - ARNETT TAKES THE POINT LEAD!

season’s in the 21-year existence of the California
Lightning Sprint Car Series continued at the
Bakersfield Speedway last Saturday night and more
twists were added to the plot when Bobby Michnowicz
won the final “Civil War Series North vs South” race
and Damion Arnett took over the championship point
lead with only three races remaining on the 2014

When the California
Lightning Sprint Car Series arrives at the Bakersfield
Speedway this Saturday night, September 27th, the race
for the championship will reach a fever pitch as the
top two in the standings, Jeff Dyer and Damon Arnett,
are separated by a mere 8-points with only four races
remaining on the 2014 calendar. To make things even
more exciting, Saturday will be the final round of the
“North vs South Civil War Series” matching the CLS vs
Northern California’s BCRA. Spectator gates will open

Glenn Howard Classic this Saturday, September 13th, at
Perris Auto Speedway, it will mark the beginning of
the homestretch drive for the 2014 championship.
Joining the CLS on the quadruple header program at The
PAS will be the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars and the
PAS Young Gun & Senior Sprints. Spectator gates will

little respect for his elders including his father
Bobby who he passed to win the California Lightning
Sprint Car Series main event before a large crowd at
the “California’s Racer’s Hall of Fame Night” last
Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway. The victory was the
