California Lightning Sprints (CLS) are a Southern California based 1200cc
Mini-Sprint club. The group competes in both winged
and non-winged events at the Perris, Bakersfield, Ventura,
Santa Maria, Barona, and Victorville clay ovals. Reaching speeds in excess of 100
mph, the cars of the CLS may be small
in size, but they are
big on excitement!!!

After two rainouts earlier this season, the California Lightning Sprint Car Series will finally get to race at the Bakersfield Speedway this Saturday night, May 12th, when they take on Northern California's Bay Cities Racing Association (BCRA) in the Civil War.
